Job Title Bartender What You’ll Do: Located in our Cloverdale location in Surrey, BC, you will report to the General Manager (although this may vary from time to time depending who is on shift). You will: • Build beverages to ‘spec’ to ensure that guests receive a ‘remarkably consistent’ beverage experience • Genuinely connect and communicate with every guest at the bar and every guest that you interact with (even if they aren’t at a bar seat) • Ensure the cooler and back-bar is stocked and garnishes are prepped • Ensure beer dispensing equipment is in optimal condition • Evening bartenders may be involved in closing duties including: server cash reports, running closing reports, cash handling, breaking down the bar • Take the time to effectively learn and memorize new menu items and procedures • Effectively finesse the menu and communicate your vast knowledge and expertise about food and bar menus with ease • Proactively assist all front of house employees with table maintenance, running food, assisting to take payments, etc. • Continuously ensure that every guest leaves satisfied and happy with their experience. In the event of a concern or conflict, you will immediately involve a Manager to positively resolve the situation • Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure that guests are not at risk of an allergic reaction • Work each shift with a safety mindset. EVENT BASED - BARTENDERS & PORTERS

Vancouver, BC Part-time, Temporary, Contract, Casual $15 - $18 an hour POSITION TITLE: Bartenders & Bar Backs/Porters ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE: Reports to Bar Manager STATUS: Part-time (event-based work) EVENT: Various - Squamish Constellation Festival, Honda Celebration of Lights, Abbotsford Airshow, Burnaby Blues Festival, Summerset Festival AND MORE! DATE: Various LOCATION: Various - Across the Lower Mainland, BC RATE INFORMATION: $18/hr Event Labour (pre and post-event) $15/hr Bartender (Showtime) POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work at a minimum 3 days during the event Must be available for an interview between July 16-21, 2019 Must have Serving it Right certification Must be 19+ Must be comfortable working in new environments and outdoors Must be able to get to various locations around the Lower Mainland Must have at a minimum 1-year experience in the hospitality industry Basic alcohol/bartending knowledge required POSITION DETAILS - BARTENDERS: Customer Service: Bartenders are the face of the festival and the first-contact representation of our company to attendees, festival stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Bartenders need to be friendly, maintain a positive attitude and work well in fast-paced work environments and be proactive in a team work based environment. Mix and Serve Drinks: Bartenders mainly work behind bars, taking customer orders and preparing drinks. They should be knowledgeable about wines, beers, and spirits and understand how to mix various cocktails and other drinks. Maintain Bar Area: Bartenders keep the bar clean and orderly. This includes everything from wiping down glassware and the bar top to maintaining an inventory of liquor and bar supplies. Bartenders typically keep bar supplies stocked and peel and slice various fruits used for garnishing drinks. POSITION DETAILS - PORTERS/BAR BACKS: Collect and Transport Stock: Bar porters are responsible for collecting beverage stock and other items needed for bar sales from the designated back of house areas during the festival and transporting them to each specific bar. This role is often asked to help pick up product from liquor stores and breweries in advance of the festival weekend as part of the inventory management team. Ability to change a keg is a strong advantage. Maintain Bar Inventory: Bar porters constantly check the bar’s alcohol inventory and note when a certain stock is getting low. They report inventory levels to an appropriate bar manager who is responsible for placing new orders. Restock Other Bar Supplies: Bar porters check the bar’s miscellaneous supplies such as mix, garnish, napkins, cups, and more. Once things run low on the floor, bar porters are responsible for restocking them to make sure bar clientele remains happy.
